MEET YOUR TRAINER & GROOMER
Hi, I'm Shay.
I've loved working with dogs since I was a teenager, starting at Petland in high school and then spending five years as a groomer at PetSmart before opening my own grooming business. After a couple of years running it, I wanted to go deeper, so I enrolled in a dog training program through the Cochrane and Area Humane Society. That's where I found my real love: helping shelter dogs work through behaviour challenges so they could find homes.
Today, Paws With Presence is built on that same idea. Force-free, positive reinforcement training that works on the whole relationship, not just the dogs behaviour. Grooming is still part of what I do, because a calm, comfortable dog starts with feeling good in their own coat.
I treat every pet like they are my own, with love, kindness, and endless patience

Shay is an amazing groomer! She did a perfect job with my fur baby, Annie. She is professional and receptive to feedback, she always makes sure the dog is groomed perfectly to the owners expectations. Her grooming area is tidy and safety is paramount. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!

Gracie hadn't seen a groomer in over a year and Shay made sure she was kept comfortable and worked with my dogs anxiety. Gracie left looking amazing, she was fast and efficient even when faced with quite the grooming challenge. Shay did an amazing job, and she will be Gracie's groomer going forward. I would 100% recommend her services to every dog owner.
Shay is so wonderful with dogs. I have an anxious, reactive dog who is absolutely petrified of dog grooming. Shay has treated my dog as if it were her own and my dog was completely comfortable in her care. Shay was able to clip my dogs nails, bathe her, dry her, and brush her teeth, all things that would have caused my dog tremendous stress. I trust Shay completely and am always happy with the results after my dog has been groomed
